Products & Services:
Creative Cooking groups: are when a small group of people meet at least twice monthly to plan a menu, budget, shop and prepare their meals to take home to their families. Participants contribute a minimum of $2.00 per family member that they normally cook for. This amount is matched by our organization. A trained leader is provided to work with the group.
Children and youth cooking programs: are similar to creative cooking groups but work with children usually between 10 - 18 years of age.
Fresh Food Box Program: is a program currently offered once a month. Customers prepay orders in advance. The cost is $10.00 or $15.00. They get a mixture of fresh fruits, vegetables and grains as well as a newsletter with recipes and nutrition tips. The goals of the program are to increase the amount of fresh fruits, vegetables and grains people eat, save money, support our local growers and grocers. Volunteers pack the boxes.
Leadership Training: is a 4 day training session offered in the Battleford's, Lloydminster and Meadow Lake. Topics covered include safe food preparation, conflict resolution and adult learning needs in an environment where participants learn by doing. A follow up network is offered to support trained creative cooking leaders in developing and working with their groups.
